We are announcing the 5th annual competition for schools for the best experiment using an infrared camera!
Register your team and gain the opportunity to use an infrared camera in your teaching for two weeks. Share your discovery with others and win exciting prizes.
How to Get Involved?
- Create a team of 2-30 students.
- Register your team and provide the contact details of the instructor/teacher.
- Reserve an infrared camera/s in our online system.
- Explore the world around you through the eyes of the infrared camera and present your most interesting discovery as an experiment.
- Share your discovery on social media using the hashtag #ocima_termokamery.
- Submit your project by the end of April 2025.
Who Can Participate?
Teams from primary and secondary schools, as well as institutions of non-formal education from across the Czech Republic, can enter the competition.
Deadlines
The deadline for project submissions is April 30, 2025. We plan to announce the competition results at the end of May 2025. We look forward to your discoveries!
Projects from Previous Years
Competition Contributions and Evaluation
- Goal: The contribution should serve as a guide for an experiment using an infrared camera that uniquely explains a selected phenomenon through infrared vision.
- Format of Contribution: The ideal formats are video, poster, or presentation.
- Recommendations: Use LabIR Edu templates in MS Word or PowerPoint format, available upon logging into our website.
- Submission: Please send final projects to edu@labir.cz.
Evaluation Parameters
- Committee: Projects will be assessed by experts in the field of thermography, who will select the top three contributions from both age categories.
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Educational value
- Uniqueness of the idea
- Creativity of execution
- Accuracy of processing (correct interpretation of data)
- Bonus Points: Earn points for activity on social media—share your discoveries and photo reports using the hashtag #ocima_termokamery.
